Sogemi has successfully commissioned to Teksid Braszil a plant to reclaim the mix of sand cores and green sand.

The plant, named Green-Rec, is a sand thermos-mechanical treatment with 12 t/h output.

The Green-Rec plant reclaims the mix of green sand and cores sand in order to produce new cores with a cold box process.

The Green-Rec reclamation system is a valid solution for foundries that employ a significant amount of cores in the molding process. With this reclamation system they avoid dumping a considerable amount of sand at the landfill, operation that has a significant cost nowadays.

The yeld on the sand is around 80 % .

Teksid produces medium and big size cores using 100% reclaimed sand.
