Sogemi has recently commissioned a chain manipulator at a major Chilean foundry, designed to handle, rotate, and pair large molds with a load capacity of up to 30 tons. Remotely controlled via a radio transmitter, it allows operations to be carried out safely from a secure distance. Additionally, the system is designed to operate with only one operator, thus increasing operational efficiency.
