Sogemi's history is a continuous journey toward excellence in resin sand foundry technology.
Founded in 1968 as a representative of one of the industry’s leading companies, Baker & Perkins, Sogemi quickly demonstrated its ability to innovate—anticipating market needs and helping to define new standards of quality and sustainability.
TURNING POINTS
From the pioneering introduction of rotary furnaces to the collaboration with Air Liquide, Sogemi has always focused on developing technologically advanced and environmentally friendly solutions. The acquisition of Baker & Perkins’ know-how and patents in 1987 marked a major turning point, firmly establishing Sogemi as a key player in the field of resin sand foundry plants.
A major turning point came in 1990, when we developed our SIMPLEX thermal sand regeneration plants.
These systems were designed to provide an effective solution for the recycling of foundry sand, ensuring optimal regeneration through a thermal treatment process that removes impurities and enables the sand to be reused in subsequent production cycles—improving sustainability and reducing operating costs.
Over the past decades, our SIMPLEX thermal regeneration plant has been recognized in international markets as the most advanced and efficient sand reclamation system, adopted by leading companies such as Ferrari, Teksid, and Tupy.
